RAINBOW CENTER: 20th Anniversary Open House

Twenty years ago, the Rainbow Center was completely run by volunteers from the community in a small office space within the United Way building on Pacific Avenue. While the organization only operated for a handful of hours each week, volunteers dedicated their time to serving an LGBTQ+ community that was in dire need of resources and connections.

Today, the Rainbow Center has settled into a space on Pacific Avenue that is 100x the size of that room, with a full kitchen, library, offices and cubicles, triple the staff, and plenty of room for accessing services, engaging in community programs, volunteering, and more.

While we wish that the LGBTQ+ community no longer faced the barriers that we actively fight against to this day, we are glad for the opportunity to provide and expand this necessary space as long as it is needed for our community.

The Rainbow Center invites you to join us in honoring our 20th anniversary with celebration, refreshments, community, and key guest speakers who will share their own personal connections to the organization.

Live Loud Concert: Mirror Gloss

Hey friends! Concert #3 in the Live Loud Concert Series is on the calendar! We’re excited to announce Mirror Gloss will be our headlining artists!

You are the headliner. Everyone is an artist in this show.

We hope these monthly events will feel almost like a themed variety show, with conversations, Q & A’s, live art, small plates, adult beverages, and plenty of involvement from our audience! We want you to feel like more than a spectator; we want you to feel like a participating artist.

Because you are.
