Happy Tacoma Arts Month! The sun may be taking a break, but our creative community sure isn’t.
We’re starting Tacoma Arts Month off a little early with a call for you to dive into the powerful, thoughtful world of independent film by attending this year’s Tacoma Film Festival.
For the last 12 years TFF has cultivated a space where filmmakers from all over share their work, connect, and spend a week immersed in an inspiring community. From October 5th to October 12th, the festival will offer something for everyone with over 180 screenings of diverse film, multiple workshops, discussions, events & some unforgettable parties.
Whether you are a seasoned film maker, an avid fan, or just curious about the world of independent film, TFF has made it ridiculously simple to plan your festival with this user friendly app: Click here
Also, in case you were wondering, the Tacoma Film Festival is pretty special–
“TFF is the only festival in the world to host Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film. These internationally recognized, up-and-coming filmmakers screen their work, share their experiences, and build new creative relationships, resulting in exciting new work.” – TFF
But it’s not just the 25 filmmakers that make it a remarkable experience, it’s these guys:
The TFF crew’s passion for community, art, and hospitality is truly unique to Tacoma, but don’t take our word for it —
“…Great film-making can only occur when there is a sense of community intertwined with the work…Tacoma Film Festival is an example of what a passionate, dedicated group of curators can do to bring independent filmmakers together. The measure of any festival to me is whether you come out feeling inspired.” – – Nicholas Pilarski , an award-winning documentary filmmaker and new media artist currently working in Brooklyn, New York.
